Blond Brownies

Ingredients:

2/3 cup butter or margarine
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
6 or 12 ounce chocolate chips
1/2-1 cup chopped nuts, optional

   

Preparation:

Melt butter in large saucepan.

Add brown sugar.
Blend in eggs and vanilla.
Add flour, salt, baking powder and soda.

Spread into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut in bars.



Note: Nan gave this to me. It’s very rich, but very easy!
