Chili for Fifty

Ingredients:
10 pounds hamburger
3 (#10) cans chili beans
1 (#10) can tomato juice
6 (#6) cans tomato juice
4 onions, chopped
1 tablespoon sugar
salt, pepper, chili powder to taste

   

Preparation:
Brown hamburger and onions together, drain.
Add tomato juice.
Season with chili powder, salt, pepper and sugar.

Can cook on top of the stove starting three hours before serving or can cook in oven at 300 degrees until bubbly, or thick as desired.

 

Note: This is my Daddy’s recipe for chili. I don’t think he ever measured out the spices, so good luck!
