Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef 1 small carton cottage cheese 1 (8oz) can tomato sauce 1 (#2) can crushed tomatoes 1/2 pound mozzarella cheese 1/2-1 cup Parmesan cheese 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1/2-1 teaspoon oregano 8 oz lasagna noodles, cooked and drained 1 medium onion, chopped 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Preparation: Brown ground beef in oil with onions and green pepper. Add garlic, tomato sauce, tomatoes and seasonings. Simmer for 15-20 minutes. Alternate layers of noodles, meat sauce, and cheeses, ending with Parmesan cheese. Use a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Note: This recipe is pretty easy to make and tastes good too. As I grow older though, it’s so much easier to get a pan of frozen Stouffer’s lasagna and just cook it! It’s cheaper too!
