Nan’s Pork Chops

                       Back

Ingredients:
pork chops
1-2 cans of condensed chicken noodle soup

Preparation:
Brown pork chops on both sides in a small amount of oil.
Arrange in a baking dish.
Open 1-2 cans of condensed chicken noodle soup and pour over the pork chops.
Cover and cook at 350 degrees for one hour until tender.
Uncover and cook at 300 degrees for 10 - 15 minutes longer.

Note:
The soup may contain enough salt, or you can lightly salt and pepper the pork chops before you brown them. I remember Nan making this a lot when she first got married. Maybe it was her staple dish! My staple dish when John and I first married was a package of macaroni and cheese mix with a can of tuna and a can of peas added to it. I’m sure glad I’ve learned how to cook in 25 years!!
