Pork Chops and Creamy Gravy

                Back

Ingredients:
4-6 pork chops, (I use boneless)
salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup oil
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon bottles brown bouquet sauce

Preparation:
Sprinkle pork chops with salt, pepper and flour.
Brown in hot oil on both sides.

Remove chops from skillet and drain on paper towels.
Reserve 2 tablespoons drippings in skillet.
Add 2 tablespoons flour to skillet and whisk until smooth.

Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Gradually add milk; cooking over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, and brown bouquet sauce.
Add pork chops to the gravy, cover and simmer for 45 minutes.

Note:
You may have to add more milk or even water to the gravy to make the right consistency. This is a lot easier to make then it sounds and is one of the easy meals I make. The gravy is delicious. Daddy first gave me this recipe and used to make it for me when he was able.
