1 loaf cocktail rye bread
1 large jar cheez whiz
1 pound sausage, mild or hot
Fry sausage, drain.
Mix sausage with cheez whiz.
Spread a thin layer of mixture on each piece of rye bread.
Broil until browned.
My friend, Cheryl, gave me this recipe. The only time I make it is every year for my Super Bowl Football party. It’s really good any time though!
Mix the sausage and cheese together early and refrigerate until ready to use. Also, you can use 1 pound of Velveeta instead of the cheez whiz.
